The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has announced that some public parks and beaches will reopen from July 3 in Abu Dhabi.
Pre-booking through the SmartHub platform is required for entry to the beaches and public parks in Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra region, DMT announced. All visitors must also update their health status on the AL HOSN app confirming they have tested negative for Covid-19 which would be required for entry
This is in addition to enduring a body temperature check when entering the facilities. All facilities will operate at 40 per cent occupancy to avoid crowd.
The reopening of these public facilities is the first stage in the reopening of all Department of Municipalities and Transport’s facilities, services and some other re-openings will be announced at a delayed stage via all media outlets, public places including social media.
To safeguard security and safety for everyone, thermal cameras will check people's temperatures before using any recreation facilities. Rules and guidelines will be in place for groups, couples, families and individuals, including a maximum of five people per group
All public areas would be marked out on the ground to ensure social distancing is maintained.
