Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has announced the registration for the Naya Pakistan Housing Program to deliver affordable housing facilities to the poor and low-income families who cannot afford to build their own house. Announcement was made on Monday in a ceremony at Islamabad
Through registration process, the aim is to collect the data of the public for Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme across the country which would help this housing projects in accordance with the needs and requirements.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the federal government would commend necessary regulation to empower the commercial banks to increase and provide loan facilities to the needy people, who cannot afford to buy a home on their own. Prime Minister also added that Housing sector in Pakistan has lingered behind the regional countries due to lack of loan and financing facilities in the country.
Imran Khan said that housing is a basic essential and there are requirements and demand of ten million housing units in the country, but paid class is not able to own their homes due to lack available resources and savings and cannot bear the costs of building a house
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the purpose of process is to get a clear picture of vital data relating to housing project including area preference, financing,
