ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Thursday that the government’s housing scheme which aim to build five million houses for the poor will be launched in April 2019

He added that the government was looking towards the private sector to engage actively in the low-cost housing initiative.

Naya Pakistan Housing Programme was promised in last October to build Five Million low-cost houses.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that there is a demand for 10 million houses in the country. We have set our target for five million low-cost houses, he explained.

He added that the government was looking towards the private sector to engage actively in the low-cost housing initiative.

Prime Minister Imran Khan further added that the housing scheme will be largely be involving the private sector.

Under the Naya Pakistan housing scheme, the underprivileged will be provided with house financing loans, In case anyone is incapable to avail house financing, the government will have them sponsored to avail this prestigious scheme.
